The Ship -

This is a siter ship to the Celebrity Millennium that we sailed on in 2012. It’s a beautiful ship with very good service and food. A bit more upscale than the mass market Carnival scene but we had a great time. Even red dress was well recieved by most of the passengers (as though we were part of their onboard entertainment).  The Summit is a mid-sized ship (91,000 tons) by today’s megaship standards. A smaller ship on a classier line should give us a sailing with a much lower percentage of families with kids on board. This ship gives us the choice of several different cabin types that will allow us all to be located in a “hasher domain” area. Those that sign up early will be guaranteed a close proximity to the rest of the group.

Ports and Hashing-

Although I’ve had many requests to take this itinerary, this is the first ever Babe’s Hash Cruise in the Southern Caribbean. We chose this itinerary because we know that at least 3 of the ports we’ll visit are inhabited by hashers who can host our group. Jamaica did a fabulous job last year.  Unlike our typical cruises that had two or more days at sea, this itinerary is very port intensive. So expect lots of touring and hashing options and just one day to be worthless on the ship.

Open Bar -

Open bar on Celebrity is optional and requires no minimum group size (yay!). It can be purchased online or onboard the ship. There is a basic package and a premium package that offers a greater selection of beer, liquors and wine.  There are also separate wine packages. Should you get the open bar package? Ask anyone who has gotten it in the past. I think you will get a resounding “YES!!!” You can purchase it online before your cruise or at any bar when you get on the ship.

San Juan -

Flights into San Juan can be booked at reasonable rates. Some of the discount airlines that fly into San Juan are Jet Blue and Spirit airlines. If these do not depart out of your city, check into flights departing out of Orlando or Ft. Lauderdale. The official hash hotel is the Courtyard Mirimar. We have a group rate of $159 per night. Space is limited, book your hotel when you book your cabin if you want to stay at the Courtyard. The hotel is about 5 minutes from the cruise pier. By the way, the ship leaves from the Pan American pier which is across the harbor from the piers at Old San Juan.

Cabin Selection and Pricing -

These are not bottom of the ship cabin locations. While supply lasts, all cabins will up up on the Panarama deck that offers a variety of cabin types all in the same area of the ship. The rates below are per person, based on double occupancy. They include all port fees, taxes, hasher giveaways, hash and beach party. Open bar is not included since it is optional and will be purchased individually.

Prices are subject to change without notice and will increase as we get closer to sailing. Your deposit locks in your rate. All rates are based on double occupancy (2 hashers per cabin). If you would like to go solo and have a cabin to yourself, then double the rates below and subtract $222.47 for the single rate.
